En parallèle à l’exposition «Conditions d’utilisation», qui présente une version nouvellement restaurée de «CyberPowWow» (1997-2004), nous avons eu le plaisir d’accueillir le chercheur Mikhel Proulx, qui a offert une conférence en ligne intitulée «CyberPowWow: les réseaux autochtones à la frontière de l’électronique».
En s’intéressant à cette plateforme historique pour la culture numérique autochtone, cette discussion en ligne examine la confluence des médias en réseau et de l’autodétermination autochtone, proposant une lecture d’Internet comme espace colonial.

In conjunction with the exhibition "Terms of Use", which presents a newly-restored version of "CyberPowWow" (1997-2004), we were delighted to welcome researcher Mikhel Proulx, who gave an online lecture entitled “CyberPowWow: Indigenous Networks on the Electronic Frontier.”
This online discussion looks at the intersection of networked media and Indigenous self-determination to offer a settler-colonial reading of the Internet, and attend to this landmark platform for Indigenous digital culture.
